[July 9 2012]
The new exhibition by Sean Kennedy and Chadwick Rantanen at Untitled Gallery examines the physical limits and perceptions of space within a gallery. The artists focus on the function of objects and the rejection of aesthetics. Clear table tops suspended from the ceiling hold a variety of ephemera obscured by their placement high above the viewer’s line of sight. Throughout the gallery, long poles with tennis balls affixed to the bottom reinforce the vertical demands of the show. On view through July 31st at Untitled Gallery, 30 Orchard Street, New York.
