On October 9th, 2022 the ukranian avant-garde fashion designer Anton Belinskiy held a dinner in celebration of his recently opened exhibition ‘Roots’.
‘Roots’ tries to establish the lost feeling of being a part of something through family – captured in ironic and self-depricating protagonist’s family portraits, Belinskiy finds connection and safety in childhood memories. Dinner was served at Galerie Charraudeau, as if it was at a Ukrainian grandmas home – hot Borcht soup for all. Purple is very happy to celebrate Ukrainian creativity in this period of horrible attack on the country.
