Robert Montgomery‘s poetic installations fills the gallery space in the same notion as his words embraces the viewer as one travels through the artist’s beautiful, core-hitting and yet, sentimental wordings. A text flow, from the more compact, word-heavy wall pieces, almost like 3-d paintings, to the free standing neon sentences and signage, all acknowledges that Montgomery’s practice is as suitable in site specific public arenas as well as on a white cube gallery wall. On view until October 19th at C24 Gallery, 514 West 24th Street, NY 10011, New York. Text Aurora Aspen and photo Sabine Heller
