A small retrospective of Richard Prince t-shirt paintings opened at Salon94’s new Bowery exhibition space. Works spanning the past 25 years hang in this unrenovated downtown former supply store. These paintings are small scale and contain everything from classic Prince jokes, images of Jimi Hendrix, as well as a collection of simple line drawings that usually hang in his daughter’s bedroom. The space is small and causal with the exposed brick, walls with peeling paint and simple lighting. Text and photo Juliana Balestin
