On the occasion of the centenary of Piero Fornasetti’s birth, the Triennale di Milano presents an unprecedented exhibition of the artist’s work, curated by his son Barnaba Fornasetti who has taken over his father work. This is a tribute to Fornasetti, the painter, engraver and printer, designer, collector, stylist, refined craftsman, art gallery manager and exhibition promoter. The exhibition includes over 700 pieces, from him as a painter in the spirit of Novecento, his artist’s books printing workshop, the collaboration with Italian architect Gio Ponti in the 1950s and 1060s and then thorugh 1970s until 1988, the year of Fornasetti’s death. His world projects the fantasy, surreal and poetic imagination. Piero Fornasetti 100 Years of Madness Practice runs until February 9th at Triennale di Milano, Viale Alemagna 6, Milan.
