Peter Shire “A Survey of Ceramics: 1970s to the Present” at Derek Eller Gallery, New York
Derek Eller Gallery presents an exhibition of works by Los Angeles based Peter Shire. Shire’s works show off the artist’s Memphis origins with playful shapes and colors. For this show, Shire’s interest in vessels – specifically teapots – takes center stage in this show elevating an everyday household object to innovative sculptural form without losing function.
