Paul McCarthy takes over Hauser & Wirth’s massive 18th Street gallery space for an exhibition of sculpture and works on paper. McCarthy’s wooden sculptures based on the story of Snow White are given psychological depth through distortion of figures and monumentality. Hallowed out eyes and broad gestures enhance the perversion of the fairy tale. On view through June 1st at Hauser & Wirth, 511 West 18th Street, New York. Photo and text Juliana Balestin
