Hauser & Wirth continues its summer program dedicated to artist Paul McCarthy with a new collborative exhibit between Mccarthy and his son Damon McCarthy. Reble Dabble Babble is a theatrical and grotesque production taking on the theme of Hollywood and film Rebel Without a Cause. The show merges chaotic noise and imagery with stage and lighting props alongside a reconstruction of the Chateau Marmont’s Bungalow 2. McCarthy’s work offers a distorted perspective on American themes and offers a new narrative based the possibility of performance through staged elements. On view through July 26th 2013 at Hauser & Wirth, 511 West 18th Street, New York. Photo and text Juliana Balestin
