“Painting, Photography, Painting” group exhibition opened last week at Only Gleason, New York
Show brings together Thom Blair, Liza Jo Eilers, Tomas Harker, Julia Maiuri, Nolan Simon, Nana Wolke, and Leon Xu to examines how screen-based image culture shapes composition, scale, color, and viewpoint. By translating edited, cropped, and processed images into paint, the works slow down image consumption and emphasize painting’s surface, depth, and texture.
