The Gladstone gallery currently shows a new exhibition of works by Gary Hill, combining video, sound, and installation. In Of surf, death, tropes & tableaux: The Psychedelic Gedankenexperiment he experiments the material and sonic properties of language on his public. From a 3D video, where he explains his project in a crypted language, to a torture room where the viewer is confronted to a strong flashlight, Gary Hill takes the play of the mad scientist who explores the process of perception and his malleability.
