“My friend Jen Eymère has just arrived in Tokyo to do a photo shoot for Jalouse with Nobuyoshi Araki. Here he is in his favorite karaoke bar where we went after the shoot, holding the polaroids he just took of Jen and me. He always takes polaroids of the people he brings to this bar. The waitress loads his camera for him and then pulls out a white piece of cardboard that she holds behind the subject to use as a background. It is like a little portable studio.
