Meryl Meisler exhibition at Carole Lambert présente
Meryl Meisler exhibition at Carole Lambert présente from December 1, 2022 – February 28, 2023
Open from Tuesday to Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 81 rue de Temple, Paris.
To celebrate their 30th anniversary, the Lambert Lambert agency is moving to a new space in the heart of Paris. In these new premises, the agency will not only continue its work of supporting talent but also offer a space dedicated to unique exhibitions. For the opening of this new address, Carole Lambert presents for the first time in Paris, the work of New Yorker Meryl Meisler. Clubber by night, teacher by day, it was not until her retirement, in 2010, that she began to reveal her exceptional archives creating the event. The hanging focuses, among other things, on the evenings of Studio 54, Les Mouches and CBGB as well as the artist’s family celebrations. Meryl Meisler captures the moments of intense joy and pure madness of the early days of disco and immerses us in a fascinating city and era, that of New York in the 1970s and 80s.
