To celebrate its 20th birthday, Maje looks back to the past to reinvent the future, giving a new generation of artists, photographers, painters, and video-makers the freedom to write the next chapters in the brand’s story.
The campaign is based on three themes and locations: friendship in Morocco shot by Thurstan Redding, family life in Paris shot by Mark Peckmezian, and love in England shot by Coco Capitán, alongside paintings of Frances Wilks.
The project is a tribute to Maje women – a woman who reinvents herself again and again, embodied here by Yasmin Wijnaldum, the muse of this new campaign. All the images will be published in a book, as a record of an era resolutely turned towards the future.
Directed by Simon Cahn, the film is a video collage documenting Maje’s intimate universe.
