Last Friday, Willem Dafoe brought Gabriele Tinti’s poem “Judas” to life at the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan

The reading, inspired by Rubens’ The Last Supper, was a unique blend of art, poetry, and performance. Set in front of the powerful painting, Dafoe’s voice gave new depth to the story of betrayal and inner conflict. The event, through emotion and words, offered a fresh way to connect with classic art. Tinti’s writing and Dafoe’s delivery made for an intimate and memorable experience, proving that old stories still resonate in new, powerful ways.
