Lehmann Maupin‘s Chrystie Street space presents a small summer show
with works by Tracey Emin, Juergen Teller and Gilbert & George.
Uniting the three artists is their interest in sexy and provocative
content albeit presented in divergent manners. Included in the show is
a recent work by Teller from his Paradis series as well as a classic
image of model Lara Stone. The gallery’s Lower East Side venue offers
a more relaxed context for the artists which works well for an
exhibition with what could be considered an obvious and overplayed
theme. Photo and text Juliana Balestin
Tracey Emin, Juergen Teller and Gilbert & George are on view through August 19 at Lehmann Maupin, 201 Chrystie Street, New York.
