Judy Chicago, the “feminist godmother”, celebrated the debut of her special New York Magazine cover as part of their “50 New York Covers: A Public Art Project”, and the release of her latest book “Roots of The Dinner Party”.
A dinner was held at City Point BKLYN, where at each place setting was a fine bone china plate based on designs from her prolific installation “The Dinner Party” permanently displayed at Brooklyn Museum.
The book was curated by Carmen Hermo of the Brooklyn Museum‘s Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art, and is based on her Brooklyn Museum show “Roots of ‘The Dinner Party’: History in the Making” on view earlier this year.
