In this beautiful exhibition, Michael Werner Gallery presents some of the most iconic works by the late American artist James Lee Byars. The Angel, his famous glass sculpture, graces the whole back gallery, whereas a selection of his early works, works on paper, sculptures and installations, fills the front gallery. The exhibition feels like taking a journey through the artists career, where the work becomes props to his past performances as well as becoming physical proof of this great artists practice.
