Isaac Julien offers a two-channel video installation alongside a new body of photographs as part of his latest exhibition with Metro Pictures. Playtime examines capital and its impact on both an individual and global scale. Julien intentionally blurs the boundaries between fact and fiction for his film. Like previous bodies of work, the artist blends elements of photography, dance and performance within to create a rhytmic narrative that remains visually compelling. On view through December 17th 2013 at Metro Pictures, 519 West 24th Street, New York. Photo and text Juliana Balestin
