George Rouy’s “The Bleed, Part II” at Hauser & Wirth LA
Opening with BODYSUIT, a two-day performance in collaboration with choreographer Sharon Eyal, “The Bleed, Part II” extends Rouy’s exploration of transformation beyond the canvas. Figures emerge and dissolve, their edges blurred between movement and stillness, mirroring the energy of the performance. Light and shadow, along with a palette introducing color alongside graphite, heighten the tension. Bodies appearing weightless yet dense, familiar yet abstract. Rouy’s show continues to immerse viewers in his fluid world.
