The Marie Høeg Meets Klara Lidén exhibition, presented by the Norwegian artist-run platform FRANK, juxtaposes artists from two different eras, both of whom toyed with gender expression. Marie Høeg‘s photographs, taken in Norway at the turn of the twentieth century, were found in a local barn many years later. Contemporary Swedish artist Klara Lidén‘s photography echoes Høeg’s across a century, employing the same apparent humor and playful suggestion. Housed at ONE National Gay & Lesbian Archives, 909 West Adams Boulevard in Los Angeles, the exhibit is available for viewing until June 28th. Text and photo Paige Silveria
