To mark the 60th anniversary of Francis Bacon’s first institutional exhibition in the UK, the FB55 archival exhibition at ICA’s Fox Reading Room sheds light of the British artist’s seminal show of which little documentation remains. The display includes rare installation photographs, invitations and press publications from the ICA archive that offer insight of the radical nature of the exhibition held at ICA’s former premises on Dover Street in 1955.
