Presenting around 100 looks and 100 artworks, “Fashioning Masculinities” investigates the culture of masculinity and male fashion throughout history, presenting pieces from classical sculpture, Renaissance painting, photography, cinema, and contemporary fashion. With a focus on three main themes –the art of undressing, overdressing and redressing– ultimately questions what it means to be a ‘man.’
“Fashioning Masculinities: The Art of Menswear,” is on view now until November 6 at the Victoria and Albert Museum, Cromwell Road, London
