Dana Schutz’s first exhibition with Friedrich Petzel offers a large selection of her trademark vibrant canvases. The artist’s characters perform within her paintings and dictate the color and mood to accompany each image. Schutz’s style is exhuberant-referencing styles and themes of recent art history while creating her own distinct approach to painting.
