For the 5th edition in Paris, Comme des Garçons and Dover Street Market‘s “White Noise” sale event will take over an old factory in Pantin’s up and coming canal-side district this week-end.
A wide array of clothing, shoes and accessories from Comme des Garçons’ many brands including Comme des Garçons, Junya Watanabe, Noir Kei Ninomiya, and Gosha Rubchinskiy will be marked down at up to 70%.
The multi-disciplinary creator Assi Joseph Meidan will present a special installation made in collaboration with CGD : “My work on this project was mostly inspired by the space itself. When I understood in the first visit that it used to be a tube factory I decided to make it the basis of my work. In this sort of sculpture garden, I created pieces that are entirely dependent on tubes to stay standing. I used elements from the space to support the narrative of this garden. Broken concrete pieces and metal tubes that were probably left behind, at last, I discovered under the dirt one yellow line that marked the space at the factory, I reveled and cleaned it and painted most of it, White, and left a short piece as a souvenir for what was there before. The safety glass parts I used are all up-cycled and bought at the Réserve des Art in Pantin. It was donated to them from what before served as a building façade. While braking and assemble them with each other, I created rounded and organic forms next to animal-like figures.” — he explains.
The sale will take place from April 20th – 22nd from 11am to 7p at 15 rue du Cheval Blanc, 93500 Pantin.
