Legacy Fatale is a performance collective of multi-cultural women from New York focusing on female migration and empowerment. Their latest show directed by an artist and curator Coco Dolle “Unbound Feminism & Territorialities” staged at the Queens Museum on November 19th, aimed to re-contextualize the history of an Amazon as one of the earliest archetypes of a feminist. Standing against the Western culture’s tendency to objectify women, the group used an ancient Greek Amazon Warrior as an embodiment of a strong female – fierce and unbridled. Also a response to the recent US election, the collective managed to create a space for demonstration of female power. Follow Legacy Fatale on their Facebook here.
