Carroll Dunham’s latest exhibition at Gladstone Gallery features spectacular nude bathers highlighting the artist’s continued interest in shape, color and fantastic vulgarity. The compelling landscapes featured in each medium format painting turn each image into an organic and active environment. Dunham’s severe brushstroke demands the attention of viewers with no passage of his paintings lacking intensity and allure. On view through January 19th 2013 at Gladstone Gallery, 515 West 24th Street, New York. Photo and text Juliana Balestin
