[May 31 2013]
Brock Enright’s quiet and focused exhibition at Kate Werble expands upon themes from previous bodies of work to bring clarity to new forms and ideas. Enright’s wall mounted sculptures transform Ritz crackers and Doritos into sublime artifacts that reveal the skill and sincerity of the artist. Elsewhere in the gallery, Enright adds small motors to his objects which adds to the richness of the experience. Much of Enright’s work demands immediacy and relies on receptive viewers. Verdirgris is on view through June 15th 2013 at Kate Werble Gallery, 83 Vandam Street, New York. Photo and text Juliana Balestin
