Art Studio America: Contemporary Artist Spaces features original interviews with specially commissioned photographs of 115 leading artists who are active in America today. This large format book provides a glimpse into the workings of one of the world’s largest artistic communities. Featuring such established figures as Marina Abramovic, Chris Burden, Francesco Clemente, Chuck Close, George Condo, John Currin, Jeff Koons, Joseph Kosuth, Robert Longo, Brice Marden, Richard Prince, Julian Schnabel, Hiroshi Sugimoto, the book also includes select members of the new guard, including Rita Ackermann, Cory Arcangel, Rashid Johnson, Richard Phillips, Sterling Ruby, Taryn Simon, Rirkrit Tiravanija, and more. The book gives a rare insight into the thoughts, dreams and ideas of the artists in the landscapes in which they work, with exceptional essays by art-world luminaries Robert Storr, Mark Godfrey and Ben Genocchio.
