Anna Weyant’s first museum show is currently on view at the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid
The show brings together Weyant’s eerie, dollhouse-like scenes of girlhood with classic works by Magritte and Balthus. With wilted flowers, saggy balloons, and vacant stares, she stages a quiet collapse just beneath the gloss.
