A sneak preview of Max Snow’s upcoming show, Its Only Castles Burning, at Art+Art Gallery. Snow draws inspiration from Neil Young’s song Don’t Let It Bring You Down realizing that your personal life can be in flames but in the scale of the world’s suffering it is insignificant over time. Typical of his recent photographs, Snow employs the power of contrast setting his models against black studio walls alongside extravagant props including bears, wolves and a Native American headdress. Open 17 September through 30 October, at Winzavod, art + art gallery, bld. 6,1, 4th Syromyatnichekiy lane, Moscow. Text Juliana Balestin
