“Superstition”, by French-Haitian photographer Henry Roy, exists in a castle in the sky: composed of dream-like landscapes and portraits, the photographer offers a selection of imagery from different times and places, seamlessly existing in one coherent, self- evolved atmosphere. A veteran of early Purple Fashion and Hobo, Roy’s artistic contribution are wide-ranging: “[Henry] Roy shaped a lot of how Barry [Jenkins] and I approached the film at the very, very beginning,” said James Laxton, screenwriter of Academy Award Best Picture winner Moonlight, in a recent interview with Time.com. Henry Roy‘s photobook edited by Études Studio is now available to purchase here !
Join Henry Roy for his book signing on March 23rd at Yvon Lambert, Paris.
