A exclusive Missoni & Pigalle collaborative basketball-inspired collection story shot on the Island of Burano near Venice

Purple Diary exclusively reveals a fashion shoot shot on the Island of Burano near Venice to launch the new collaborative collection by Missoni & Pigalle.

The exciting collaboration reveals how the two brands share their affinity for diversity, family and freedom, an appreciation for nonconformity, curiosity and color and an integral relationship with the artisanal; values that emanate from this basketball-inspired capsule collection which merges Pigalle‘s elevated sportswear with Missoni’s iconic knitwear and graciously nods to the athletic heritage initiated by founder Ottavio Missoni.

Missoni revisited the past using archive fabrics, dating back from 1985 to 2010, which have been artfully reworked into triangular patchwork fabrics and used for a selection of Pigalle’s most iconic pieces; rendering Missoni’s timelessness both contemporary and urban.

A spirited inclination, elegance in eccentricity and a love for color and athleticism are the qualities that draws Ashpool into the Missoni universe. In the words of Ashpool, “Missoni brings to the table amazing craft, Pigalle brings a free vision unrestricted by rules.”

The MissoniPigalle collection launches this month exclusively in Colette in Paris, Dover Street Market in Ginza and Pigalle Stores.
