Hajime Sorayama’s fetish cyborgs capture an obsession with sex, technology, and futuristic creatures known in sci-fi as gynoids or fembots. A prolific artist, illustrator, and industrial designer, Sorayama initially produced sci-fi visuals for the Hollywood film industry. He has created pinups for Penthouse and Playboy, illustrated album covers for Italo Space Disco, Isao Tomita, and The Weeknd, and even contributed to the design of Sony’s iconic Aibo robotic dog.

At 77, Sorayama continues to blend his cyber-futuristic surrealism with erotic dreams, while his visual world is increasingly becoming a technological reality.
