Séance exclusive trailer by Yuri Ancarani

Hosted within the Shit and Die exhibit produced by Artissima, which sees Maurizio Cattelan return as a curator alongside Myriam Ben Salah and Marta Papini, Seance tells the story about Carlo Mollino’s mysterious and versatile figure.

Architect, designer, photographer, writer, airplane and racecar pilot: Mollino is one of the most unique artistic personalities of the 20th century. Seance will be shown in “La casa del riposo del guerriero”, Mollino’s museum-home in Turin which he never inhabited; he worked on it from 1960 to 1968 and the house still echoes today of one of his many passions: occultism.

“We wanted to pay a tribute to Carlo Mollino’s fascinating personality. But Seance is a little jem that, with its visual power and elegance of direction, has gone beyond any expectation. And for it to be chosen by Maurizio Cattelan for Shit and Die, – Sky Arte HD Director Roberto Pisoni adds – makes us even prouder. It confirms how stimulating and necessary it is for Sky Arte to collaborate with Italian artistic talent and constantly experiment with the audiovisual language”.

The documentary will be broadcast on Sky Arte HD from November 4th at 8.30pm, and it will be on air on the tv channel throughout the whole One Torino exhibit period, available also on Sky On Demand.

Seance, made by the artist Yuri Ancarani and produced by Sky Arte HD with Dugong Productions, supported by Torino Piemonte Film Commission and Fondazione Casa Museo Carlo Mollino.
