Reely and Truly by Tyrone Lebon
This 30-minute documentary, commissioned by Grolsch Film Works, from filmmaker and photographer Tyrone Lebon offers a loose portrait of over 20 photographers at work touching on the nature of photography today. For the film Lebon captures some of the most significant figures of contemporary photography from Juergen Teller to Mario Sorrenti, Nobuyoshi Araki to Ari Marcopoulos, Takashi Homma to Petra Collins. Lebon’s mash-up cinema style for the intimate documentary provokes thoughts on nature of image-making, thus complimenting the mix of stories from each of the subjects. Reely and Truly offers a insight into the ways each photographer thinks and how they approach their work.
