Fatal Attraction / Lawrence Rothman

Fatal Attraction / Lawrence Rothman by Floria Sigismondi

Directed by Floria Sigismondi, Fatal Attraction by singer-songwriter Lawrence Rothman is third collaboration with the director. Inspired by the line in the song “The world is hell’s portrait,” when all is pretty on the outside, there is most likely a darkness at the core ruling every motive. Lawrence explains that he had always questioned why we are most attracted to the things in life that lead to fatal endings. The song was written on the Harry Houdini piano, and Lawrence was the last person to play on it…the piano was a beautiful antique, ruined by a flood in the studio two days after he recorded with it. Fatal Attraction is released on Floria Sigismondi’s record label Mamaroma Records.
