ASVOFF6 Trailer by Jason Last

In the sixth edition of her landmark fashion film festival, ASVOFF founder Diane Pernet features a globally diverse, panoramic and intercontinental program presenting trailblazing international film legends like Larry Clark, Serge Lutens, Mike Figgis, Bettina Rheims, Wing Shya, David Sims, Ellen Von Unwerth, Bruce Weber and fashion brands as distinctive as Dior Homme, Haider Ackermann, Hussein Chalayan, Armani, Opening Ceremony, Converse, and Viktor & Rolf. For the fifth consecutive year, ASVOFF’s three-day event will take place at Centre Pompidou in Paris from 11 – 13 October 2013. Purple TV will exclusively screen the winners of the festival after October 13th.

Designer Christophe Lemaire will introduce his ‘carte blanche’: Woody Allen’s 1973 homage to Ingmar Bergman entitled ‘Interiors’ which pits the psychological breakdown of three sisters against the stark, obsessively perfectionist style of their wardrobes and surroundings.

Karl Lagerfeld stars in Malcolm Venville’s microscopic but hugely telling film for NOWNESS dubbed ‘Zillions’, which sees the director take an epic pilgrimage to pose just one question to Kaiser Karl.

A special tribute will be given to to Larry Clark who will be present to receive his honorary title as ‘Godfather of ASVOFF.’ His latest film “Marfa Girl” will be screened as well as a special behind the scenes peek of his working process from his forthcoming film “The Smell of Us” which reveals the sub-culture around a bunch of self-destructive skateboarders in Paris.

Michele Lamy, President of ASVOFF 6 jury, will introduce the touching documentary ‘Rick, Michele and Scarlett’, in part as a tribute to the film’s director Jan Sharp who recently passed away.

The final tribute will be presented by Philippe Bresson unveiling his portrait of the multi-talented, larger-than-life image-maker Serge Lutens before screening Luten’s spine-tingling visual masterpiece ‘Les Stars’ which was first presented at Cannes nearly four decades ago – but which despite its splendour, has been largely obscured by time and circumstance – until now – when it will open ASVOFF 6.
