Wolfgang Tillmans “How likely is it that only I am right in this matter?” exhibits both new and recent work. Working with photographs, video and sound Tillmans explores the borders of the still life and deals with what it means to create pictures in a world of overflowing visual impressions. By scanning and moving his images or treating them with harsh chemicals Tillman alternates the original picture to create a new reality around it. He blurs the line between still life and video and uses sound to enhance and add to the visual impression.
“How likely is it that only I am right in this matter?” is on view until October 20th, 2018 at David Zwirner, 519, 525 & 533 West 19th Street, New York.
