Exploring the grounds of Wat Pho, Bangkok

While it is undoubtedly the opulent awe of the 46m long reclining Buddha that the crowds flock to see, there is much to be admired in the rambling grounds that constitute the remainder of the Wat Pho complex. As the sun begins its descent from the sky, an air of calm falls upon the enchanting interplay of floral ceramics, intricate murals and cool white marble; a calm that reflects the disposition of the monks who reside within the temple complex to this day.
